About Jackie Drozdow, LCSW & Certified Health Coach

Let’s create the life you want.

I’m a relational therapist based in Florida. I specialize in treating women navigating eating disorders, body image and major life transitions from college life, to young adulthood, entering marriage, pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood and beyond.

A woman with long brown hair smiling, resting her chin on her hand, sitting on a dark green armchair in a room with a large plant and white spherical lights in the background.
A living room with large windows, a white sofa with wooden legs, a white armchair with wooden frame, a large indoor fiddle leaf fig plant in a white pot, and a cream-colored textured rug.

My journey to becoming a therapist wasn’t straightforward. After college, I worked as a voiceover actor and fitness instructor. What I loved most about that time was connecting with people—listening to their stories, celebrating their wins, and helping them feel stronger.

But I wanted to go deeper. My own experiences with disordered eating, anxiety, and self-esteem struggles showed me how much more people need beyond surface-level support. Fitness was one piece of the puzzle, but I knew healing was more complex.

That realization led me back to graduate school for social work, and I stepped fully into the work I feel called to do: supporting people not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.

a little about me

How I Became a Therapist

When I’m not working, you’ll find me with my husband and our twin boys—being their mom is one of my greatest joys. I recharge in nature, especially in the mountains of Colorado. I also love film and TV (a nod to my past life in acting!) and I like to share a fun fact: I can’t walk in a straight line. My clients usually laugh at that—it’s a reminder that none of us are perfect, and that’s okay.

Outside the Therapy Room

Decorative home workspace with a white desk, pink flowers in vases, books, a framed artwork, a patterned lamp, a camera, a teacup, and a MacBook, against a plain white wall.
Living room with white walls, beige curtains, a large window, and light-colored furniture, including a sofa, armchair, and coffee table. Decor includes plants, candles, and wall mirror.

How I work

A relational, holisitic approach to therapy.

Working with me doesn’t feel like talking to a blank slate. I show up as a real human being—compassionate, direct, and tuned in to what you need that day. Sometimes that means being a steady presence; other times it’s offering honest feedback when you’re ready to hear it. Clients describe me as collaborative, flexible, and real.

Therapy with me isn’t one-size-fits-all. I meet each client where they are and bring in whatever feels most supportive in the moment. Sometimes that means leaning on my training as an LCSW to see the whole person and the many pieces of their story. Other times, it’s using DBT skills—like mindfulness, distress tolerance, or emotion regulation—to offer practical tools for real life. And often, it’s drawing on my background as a health coach and Intuitive Eating counselor to help clients rebuild trust with food and their bodies, free from the constant noise of diet culture.

Therapy with me is —

  • I show up as a human, not a blank slate. Clients describe me as compassionate and direct, someone who can both sit with you in hard moments and lovingly challenge you when you’re ready.

  • I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I listen closely and adapt to what you need each session—whether that’s support, solutions, or simply space to breathe.

  • From DBT skills like mindfulness and emotion regulation to strategies that reduce anxiety and build confidence, I’ll help you find approaches you can actually use in daily life.

  • As a Certified Health Coach and Intuitive Eating Counselor, I help clients rebuild trust with food and their bodies—focusing on balance, self-compassion, and what truly feels healthy for you.
